About me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Inha University, where I lead the Computational Imaging Lab.

I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2021. During my doctoral studies, I was a member of the Computational Optics Group, led by Prof. Andreas Velten.

My research lies at the intersection of computational imaging, signal processing, optical engineering, and machine learning. I develop computational algorithms and design optical imaging systems that enable imaging beyond direct line-of-sight (e.g., “seeing around corners”), with a strong emphasis on bridging theory and real-world deployment. My representative works have been published in Nature and Nature Communications.
